Planning wellness inventory before Tet
A grounded checklist for pharmacy and wellness buyers preparing gift packs, vitamins, and personal care ahead of Tet trading.
Tet trading rewards early, calm decisions. Gift sets, red packaging, and family vitamin packs move differently from everyday OTCs, and lead times from suppliers tighten as the holiday approaches.
Separate gift demand from routine replenishment. A household may buy a ceremonial set once while still needing regular blood-pressure or diabetes lines. Protect space and cash for chronic therapies even when festive displays look more glamorous.
Review last year’s sell-through by week, not only by month. The ten days before Tet and the first week after reopen often diverge sharply. Build cover for the busy window, then plan a clear markdown path for leftover gift stock so it does not clog February shelves.
Agree staff talking points for popular sets. Shoppers ask about contents, suitability for elders, and whether packs can be opened. Clear answers reduce returns and keep the till moving.
Confirm delivery slots and storage before placing large festive orders. A perfect assortment stuck in a delayed van helps no one. Coordinate with your wholesaler early and keep a short contingency list of substitute SKUs.
